The first activity this month was spent finishing the work of cutting and pasting the old-growth gorse on 133 Forest Rd. Talia, the co-ordinator from COH bushcare was really appreciative of our effort there.

The other two working days were spent on hand pulling forget-me-nots in the southern Providence Rivulet gully, below the Weerona Trail. Because it has been such a mild winter, the plants are well advanced and beginning to flower.

The manager at the OPTUS compound said that he had organised the controlled spraying of the buffer Zone between the reserve and OPTUS property. So next time it is needed, it is our turn to pay for the maintenance. This is an agreement we have with OPTUS.

I did another little talk in the reserve for two kindergarten classes from Friends School. And again we received a cache of biscuits and a lovely card made by the children. I think we are on to a good thing here!
